Diggstown is a 1992 American con film. Its plot follows a contest between Gabriel Caine, a con man recently released from prison, and John Gillon, the corrupt businessman who owns the movie's namesake small town in Georgia. Their wager centers on the town's favorite pastime of boxing, with Caine betting that a fighter selected by him can defeat ten opponents selected by Gillon in 24 hours. Both men intend to use every dirty trick in their arsenal in order to gain the upper hand and win the bet.

  • Gabriel Caine (Lead Mastermind): A con man who just finished serving his sentence, and who set his sights on Diggstown as the setting of his ultimate con. While in prison, he made a business of running bets on fights and planning escapes for other inmates.
  • John Gillon (Rival Mastermind): The most powerful man of Diggstown and former manager of Charles Macom Diggs, the boxer who gave the town its name. He takes Caine's bet fully confident that he can outsmart the con man.
  • "Honey" Roy Palmer (Commoner): A 48-year-old retired boxer who is an old friend of Caine's. Caine bets that Palmer can take on any ten of Diggstown men in 24 hours, but Palmer is reluctant to go along with Caine's plan.
