Summary

Michael asks Abruzzi to get a key to Warden Pope's office. Abruzzi has one of his men attack a guard and press a mold on his key during the struggle. He then uses the mold to make a copy of the key out of melted toothbrushes. Meanwhile, Michael has Sucre pretend to do laundry in their cell, putting up a clothesline to hide Michael while he unscrews their toilet and enters the tunnel to learn his way to the roof of the prison.

Later, when Michael is in Pope's office helping him build the replica of the Taj Mahal for his wife, Michael lies to Pope saying that he needs to hold a piece until the glue dries, otherwise the entire structure will come crashing down. Pope agrees to let Michael stay in his office unsupervised and be escorted back to his cell afterwards. Michael checks that the guard outside is distracted flirting with Pope's secretary, and then leaves the room through the back door after Abruzzi walks by to unlock the door and leave him the key.

Michael discreetly comes back to his cell and then makes his way back to the roof through the tunnel, timing everything so that he will be absent during headcount. When Bellick realizes that he is missing, he reports that there is a fugitive, causing police cars to rush to Fox River. Michael, from the roof, uses this to time the arrival of the police and check what would be the best escape route. He notes that of the three streets leading up to the prison, police cars only arrives through English and Percy, leaving Fitz clear. This gives Michael the information he needs to choose FItz as the route to take out of the prison.

Once he has his answer, Michael returns to Pope's office, pretending that he had been under the table holding up the Taj Mahal the entire time.
