The Parallel Computer Network Trick is a Trick in the Bloody Monday manga series, played by Fujimaru Takagi in Chapter 3 of the original manga.

Context

A Russian ex-KGB agent was found dead in Japan with a data card hidden inside his body, and Fujimaru has been recruited by Third-I, the Japanese intelligence organization his father works for, to decrypt the contents of the card. However, Maya Orihara, who infiltrated Fujimaru's school posing as a teacher, has destroyed Fujimaru's high-performance laptop issued to him by Third-I, without which he doesn't have enough computing power to decrypt the file in any reasonable time.

Summary

Fujimaru leaks a virus written by him into multiple peer-to-peer file-sharing networks, infecting over 7000 computers connected to these networks. The virus doesn't cause damages, but instead takes control of the computers and connects them to Fujimaru's own parallel computing network. This network effectively works as one massively-parallel supercomputer, using all of the computers processing power to perform work in parallel. Using this network to run the decryption algorithm, Fujimaru is able to quickly decode the file.
